Is SpeedConnect Wi-Fi?

No. SpeedConnect’s technology runs over secure FCC-licensed frequencies. WiFi operates on unlicensed 2.4 Ghz frequencies, which are vulnerable to scanning and packet interception.

What is FCC-licensed and why does it matter?

SpeedConnect owns FCC-licensed spectrum used to build your network. This means we have the exclusive rights to the frequencies we use to transmit your data. Other wireless companies use public frequencies that are cluttered with traffic and interference. SpeedConnect provides better performance, security and reliability.

Is SpeedConnect satellite-based service?

No. SpeedConnect utilizes existing cellular, water towers, and some rooftops to attach our technology. The antenna or the modem links directly to the technology attached to these structures.

Is SpeedConnect service as reliable as cable, DSL or dial-up?

Yes. SpeedConnect’s connection is secure and reliable. SpeedConnect’s service is not typically affected by weather.

Can multiple computers be connected at the same time?

Yes. With the use of a router, you can have multiple computers connected to the Internet at the same time.

Will I receive a monthly invoice?
