Service Has Been Restored for SpeedConnect Customers After a Construction Company Cut Fiber in Idaho

January 14, 2017

Idaho – SpeedConnect, a premium wireless internet broadband provider, lost service to customers due to an area-wide outage caused by an accidental CenturyLink fiber cut. Thousands of residences and business were negatively affected throughout Idaho.  The cut was extensive, caused by a third party doing construction, and required massive restoration work.

“SpeedConnect as well as thousands of businesses in Idaho were affected by this, and we apologize, and regret this happened, says John Ogren, Founder & CEO for SpeedConnect.

“Customers that were negatively affected and inconvenienced may apply immediately for credit to their account – please use this outage credit quick link .”

Ogren said, “We have never had an outage like this in the past. Our concern is for our customers and their uninterrupted service. I wouldn’t want to speculate on the reasons why a company doing construction would miss their target.”

SpeedConnect’s Idaho locations are in Idaho Falls and Twin Falls.
